Young Planning & Energy Consenting
Young Planning and Energy Consenting (YPEC) was founded by Grant Young in 2016.
Our aim is to provide the best quality advice in order to assist clients in navigating planning and consenting processes as efficiently as possible. YPEC personnel have an established track-record of doing just that, evidenced by our long-standing client relationships and wide network of fellow consultants and contacts who offer complementary skills.
We aim to efficiently deliver our clients’ objectives and to add value to sites and development projects. Key to delivering this aim is our highly flexible, creative and commercial approach to addressing often problematic planning and consenting issues. In doing so we develop strategies bespoke to both our clients’ needs and to site/project specific circumstances.
As an independent planning consultancy, we can tailor our inputs to projects in order to meet individual client requirements. Whether this is a light touch planning input to due diligence/feasibility studies, management of multi-disciplinary project teams preparing application documentation, or advice on the management of existing assets through the amendment of planning permissions, we are entirely flexible over the extent of our involvement in projects.
Grant Young
Grant Young founded YPEC in 2016. Grant is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) with 12 years’ experience in town planning consultancy, a number of which have been in team management positions in property and engineering consultancies GVA and AECOM.
Grant is experienced in advising public and private sector clients across a wide range of development sectors predominantly in Scotland but with experience in England, Northern Ireland and Ireland.
During his career, Grant has developed specialisms in the provision of a variety of planning consultancy services, as well as having an unrivaled track record in respect of a broad range of energy generation, transmission and distribution development projects.
Throughout his career, Grant has established a number of strong long-standing client relationships as well as a wide network of fellow professionals who offer complementary services, both of which he is keen to build upon with YPEC.
